HULL CITY SACK HEAD COACH MIKE PHELAN

Hull City have announced the dismissal of Mike Phelan as their head coach on Tuesday. “The club can announce this evening (Tuesday) that it has parted company with head coach Mike Phelan,” the club’s official Twitter page twitted.

“The search for a replacement has begun and an announcement will be made in due course.”

Phelan was given a caretaker role after Steve Bruce had departed in summer and was named as the permanent manager on October 13. The former Manchester United assistant manager leaves the Tigers on the bottom of the league table and three points away from safety.
