BARCELONA SLIP UP MOTIVATES REAL MADRID

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane revealed that Barcelona and Sevilla’s slip-ups had motivated his side for win on Sunday.

Madrid extended their lead at the top to four points with a 3-0 win over Real Sociedad after Spanish champions Barca drew 1-1 at Real Betis, while Sevilla lost to Espanyol.

“It gives us added motivation because when you see that one of your rivals drops points,” said Zidane. “It makes you even more eager to do the job and that’s something we talked about.

“The most important things was to focus on ourselves and we managed to win.

Real Madrid have also played a game less than both of their nearest rivals Barcelona and Sevilla.
