AGUERO SHINES AS MANCHESTER CITY WIN EIGHT GOAL THRILLER
Manchester City came from behind twice to secure a crucial two-goal advantage after a classic Champions League last-16 tie against Monaco at Etihad Stadium.
Raheem Sterling gave Manchester City a 26th-minute advantage after fine work by Leroy Sane but but City quickly surrendered their advantage to Falcao’s diving header following a poor clearance from Willy Caballero.
Kylian Mbappe’s thunderous strike made it 2-1 before the interval.
Falcao then saw a penalty saved by Willy Caballero just after the break before Monaco keeper Danijel Subasic’s blunder gave Sergio Aguero his first goal. But the Columbian restored Monaco’s lead within minutes as he lifted a brilliant chip over Caballero.
Aguero then volleyed in another equalizer before John Stones and Leroy Sane gave the hosts a two goal lead.
The second leg will be played on March 15 at the Stade Louis II.
