Mauricio Pochettino says Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has mirrored the tactical system he ‘created’ last season.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has won praise for the tactical shift, but Pochettino believes he is due credit for helping alter the tactical landscape of the Premier League before the Italian’s arrival.
The Spurs boss said: “People say now Chelsea changed the system, but no we played always the three in possession. Out of possession, Eric [Dier] moved in front and without the ball he tried to press and play like a midfielder.
Spurs finished third with Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele operating in midfield, but Victor Wanyama has moved ahead of the former since his arrival in the summer.
