Arsene Wenger has revealed a decision has been made on his future, but has consistently refused to announce it publicly despite huge debate over his next move.
The Frenchman says it will be down to Arsenal to announce whether he will remain at the club beyond the end of the season.
Wenger is out of contract at the end of the season and has come under intense pressure to end his 20-year reign, with the FA Cup now Arsenal’s last chance of winning silverware this season.
Asked whether the announcement would come from him or Arsenal, Wenger said: “From the club.
“I have nothing to add. Of course [I am planning for pre-season games], but no [that does not suggest anything] – that suggests that I do my job, which is to plan for the future of the club.
“I cannot tell you now [if the announcement will be before the end of the season] because I don’t know. I’m focused now on the next game.”
