Silva Man City Finally

Playmaker icon David Silva has confirmed that he will be leaving Manchester City at the end of the season after a decade at the club.

The 33-year-old has amassed 395 appearances for City, winning four Premier League titles after joining from Valencia in 2010.

“No, this is the last one,” Silva said when questioned if he would play on beyond the current campaign.

“Ten years for me is enough. It’s the perfect time for me. Initially, City were talking about two years, but I decided to sign for another one, so I finished at 10 years.

“It completes the cycle. It’s a nice round figure. I can never see myself playing against City for another team. So 10 years – that’s it.”

Alongside his spell at Valencia, Silva also enjoyed loan spells at Eibar and Celta Vigo, and won three major honours for the Spanish national side, whom he retired from last year following the World Cup. He has previously said that he wishes to retire at his hometown club Las Palmas.
