Jamie Vardy almost quit professional football to become a party rep in Ibiza. In his first year at Leicester after signing from Fleetwood Town, Vardy was going through a bit of a rough patch and was desperate for a change of scenery. According to an ex-teammate of his, Vardy had a job offer to go over to Ibiza and be a rep that he was considering taking. It took some former Leicester coaches and manager Nigel Pearson to persuade him to stay. Through perseverance, Vardy has become one of the Premier League’s best strikers, winning the Golden Boot award last season after scoring 23 goals and of course, who can forget the role he played in Leicester’s title-winning season.
