Serie A high-flyers Atalanta have announced the signing of Danish striker Andreas Cornelius from FC Copenhagen.

Orobici will reportedly pay around €4.5 million for the 24-year-old footballer, who will officially join his new side at the end of the current season.

Andreas Cornelius spent the majority of his career at FC Copenhagen, while also enjoying a short spell with then Premier League side Cardiff City.

After failing to register a single goal in eight substitute appearances, the striker was sold back to the Danish giants, where he quickly went back to his scoring ways.

Since returning to FC Copenhagen, Cornelius scored 27 goals in 86 league appearances, and despite failing to establish himself as an undisputed starter, he eventually managed to secure a lucrative move to Atalanta.
