Bad Business United

West Ham United’s rent at their London Stadium home doesn’t even cover costs of staging matches, according to the ground owners. The club pays annual rent of about $3.3 million USD. Since their move in 2016, it was revealed that UK taxpayers are forced to foot the bill for certain running costs such as stewarding, goalposts, cleaners and turnstile operators. The stadium is looking for a naming rights deal to help cover the costs, however any agreement they may make can be vetoed by West Ham.
