Fuddled Iwobi

Petr Cech announced that he would be retiring after 14 years in the Premier League, shocking Arsenal teammate and forward Alex Iwobi, who said the goalkeeper has the ability to play for ‘another three or four years’.
After starting the first seven league games this season, Petr Cech seen limited action. Cech is often used as the Cup goalkeeper for Arsenal, with 26 year old Bernd Leno transferring to Arsenal in the Summer and becoming the long term occupant in the front of goal for the gooners. In his career, Cech was able to win four Premier League title, five FA Cups, 1 World Cup qualification, was the most capped player of Czech Republic, and won a Champions League TItle. “I was [surprised] because he always looks good in training and every time he plays in a match,” Iwobi told SkySports News after Cech’s announcement.  Iwobi has played alongside Cech since 2015, and has trained with the Czech International for years. It looks like the Premier League is out of reach for the Gunners, but Cech and Arsenal are still in the FA Cup and the Europa League, the last two avenues open to get one last piece of hardware to add to the trophy case. “When he announced he was retiring I was like ‘wow, you could have another three or four years the way that you’re playing…But we have to respect his decision and we’ll have to do our best to make sure he ends his career on a high.” said Iwobi.
