Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski says that it is a good thing that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is not on the move this summer – despite the Gabon international’s status as the star man for rivals Borussia Dortmund.

The prolific scoring form of the 28-year-old has attracted attention from several of Europe’s top clubs, including Real Madrid, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, but the club have insisted that he will not depart Peter Bosz’s side this summer.

Lewandowski has welcomed that news.

“It’s good for the Bundesliga,” the former BVB striker told Sport Bild. “And it’s also good for us: when we became champions early, we lacked pressure. This means the competition and pressure will be high.”
