La Liga is reportedly set to launch legal actions against FIFA following Tuesday’s announcement that FIFA World Cup will be expended to 48 teams from current 32 team format. Sky Sports reports that La Liga authority are unhappy with the expansion and claimed they are unhappy with the decision. A source said: “We are not happy at all. We are providing extra players but we have not been consulted. We are looking at ways in which we can challenge today’s decision.” Other accusations have also been made against the decision as some have pointed out that a 48 team world cup will “dilute the quality of the tournament.”
