Leicester City representatives have met former England boss Roy Hodgson and held informal talks over their managerial vacancy.
The Premier League champions have sacked their title winning manager Claudio Ranieri recently, following a series of disappointing results.
However, it is understood that Hudgson is one of the potential candidates for the job rather than being a definite choice.
Before a permanent manager is appointed acting boss Craig Shakespeare would remain in charge for the Foxes.
Hodgson, who has been managing for more than 40 years, guided Fulham to the Europa League final in 2010 and had spells in charge of Liverpool and West Brom before he got the England job in 2012.
The 69 year old has been out of work since resigning as England coach after they lost to Iceland at Euro 2016.
