La Liga leaders Real Madrid extended their unbeaten run to 39 matches when they ransacked a dreadful Granada side 5-0 on Saturday. Real Madrid have now equaled Barcelona’s record unbeaten run of 39 games in all competitions, remaining unbeaten since their UCL defeat against Wolfsburg last April. Zinedine Zidane saw his side going 4-0 up within the first 31 minutes as Isco, Ronaldo and Karim Benzema netted the ball. Isco were on a hattrick when he was forced off the field following a thigh-high challenge from Sergi Samper right before the interval. Casemiro added a fifth for Los Blancos in the 58th minute. Real top the table with 40 points from 16, 6 points ahead of their Catalan rivals Barcelona, who will get their chance to close the gap when they visit Villareal on Sunday. Sevilla moved to the second place later on thanks to a 4-0 hammering of Real Sociedad at Anoeta Stadium.
