Sun Sports reports that Manchester City officials have told Barcelona that they are ready to pay £100m for Lionel Messi.

The report says officials from both clubs had a meeting at the end of last month discussing the possibilities of a Lionel Messi transfer.

Manchester City have not made any official bid for the player but they have informed Barca officials that they are ready to break the bank for the five time Ballon d’Or winner.

The report also claims, City is offering a £100m transfer free and a £800k/week wage for the Argentine superstar.

Messi’s current contract at Barcelona expires in 18 months.
